Plasencia to Unveil Triunfal Cigar at PCA 2026
Plasencia Cigars will unveil Triunfal at the 2026 Premium Cigar Association Trade Show in New Orleans. The release is limited to 5,000 individually numbered boxes worldwide.
The cigar is themed around the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with Canada, the United States, and Mexico serving as co-hosts. Plasencia has not named the tournament directly in its release materials, referring instead to “a quadrennial global sporting moment” and “the beautiful game.” The box design draws on a stadium aesthetic, using subtle green striping and gold accents, with each box individually numbered.
Triunfal is also the first release to carry Plasencia’s updated brand identity. The new visual centres on a single tobacco leaf set within a hexagon, which the company describes as representing balance and structure.
Triunfal is offered in a single vitola, a Gran Toro measuring 6¼ x 54. The blend uses a Jamastrán wrapper from finca La Tradición in Honduras, a binder from Olancho, Honduras (finca San Agustín), and a filler combining 100% organic Jalapa from finca La Vega in Nicaragua with 100% organic Jamastrán from finca La Tradición. Stated flavour notes are chocolate, cacao, and aged rum. Production is handled at Plasencia’s Tabacos de Oriente factory in Danlí, Honduras.
